About Us
Babes in the Wood was originally a child-minding facility set up and operated by Lorna Collie and Rebecca McCarron in Lorna's home.
In 2008 it expanded into the current premises at 1 Queens Road, where Rebecca took over ownership.

It remains a small family-run nursery, although now employing about 12 additional staff. It is registered for a total of 48 children from age 0 to 5 years, with space for a small number of after-school children.
We operate 3 separate classes: age 0-2; age 2-3 and 3+, although for some activities the 2s and 3+ combine.

We are open from 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday. We close for two weeks over Christmas/New Year, one day for April weekend and one day for May day weekend.

The nursery is registered with the Care Inspectorate formerly known as SCSWIS or Care Commission and is regularly monitored in accordance with the National Care Standards and Regulation of Care.
